Personal Childhood Web

The five people who influenced me were:

My God, The Father

He taught me how to have patience and to trust and
believe in him.  I was born premature and I am told that
I was not supposed to have made it because I had a very underdeveloped immune system. But there is one who says different.  He gave me the hope for a future that others said I would not have.  Strong faith.

My Parents, Clinton Moore, Jr. and Doshie Moore
They taught me how to be self-reliant.  They taught me how to be a hard-worker and how to be committed to something purposeful.

My Aunt, Annie Ruth Dennard
She taught me about charity.  She was always by my side when I was sick, hurt, or just needed a shoulder to cry on.  She taught me how to care for others.

My Coach, Robert Aaron
He taught me about hard work and determination and how to follow my dreams.  He taught me life lessons.  He encouraged me to try new things like driving a car, being a runner, track (with Asthma) and working as a team(basketball trainer).  He was like a big brother.

My Instructor (College), Dr. DorothyContehShe taught me how to be a professional, respectable, loving and well-rounded young lady.  She was the first women to really teach me how to present myself in a good way.  She was more than just an Advisor/Instructor to me she became more of a mother figure that I was not used to having.  My mother was a hard worker but she was not very educated.  Dr. Conteh encouraged me and showed me how to reach for the stars.

I know and understand that the assignment says to talk about people who influenced my life as a child but much of my childhood was spent in an oxygen tent which means that I did not have much contact with the outside world until I was about eight years old and then my time in the public school system was limited because of the Asthma and immune system problems.  I don't remember much of my early childhood teachers because I was mostly homebound with a homeschool teacher.

The ways in which they continue to impact my present life is in that I still trust and believe in the Lord (Strong faith), I am a hard worker and want to make a difference in the world by having a purposeful career, I am a caring and loving individual who is always trying to make things better for everyone as a whole (humanitarian), I am still trying to follow my dreams and be the best person that I can be in an effort to one day be able to help others (continuing my education) and last I continue to improve myself so that I can be an inspiration to my son and show him how to be a strong, dedicated, educated professional person.
